The UNCG GitHub Ambassadors program provides internship opportunities for students as well as hands on experience with GitHub. Ambassadors help manage the GitHub for Education program as part of the CCI Lab, including:
- Hands on GitHub Enterprise administration
- Leading workshops across campus
- Provide git support
- Recruit other students to the GitHub for Education program
- Develop campus use cases
What makes a good GitHub Ambassador?
Being a GitHub Ambassador requires being highly motivated, good communication, and the ability to collaborate with team members. Ambassador’s should have strong programming capabilities and experience with git is highly preferred. The ability to self-learn and share advanced concepts is a must. and GitHub Ambassador’s help spread the word about GitHub across campus, so being able to engage with students and faculty is a must!
